World Water Day 2025 Under the mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment)
22 Mar 2025

Theme: Save Our Glacier

World Water Day, observed every year on March 22, is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of freshwater, advocate for the sustainable management of water resources, and promote efforts to address water-related challenges globally. World Water Day 2025 will continue to highlight water issues through awareness campaigns, community engagement, and collaboration with various stakeholders. This day is crucial in addressing the growing water crises in different parts of the world, exacerbated by climate change, urbanization, and pollution.

The theme of World Water Day 2025 will focus on Glacier that need urgent attention and innovative solutions. Glaciers are vital freshwater reservoirs, playing an essential role in regulating the Earth's climate, water cycles, and providing water resources to millions of people worldwide. However, due to the ongoing impact of climate change, human activities, and environmental degradation, glaciers are rapidly retreating, threatening biodiversity, water supply, and local livelihoods. The "Save Our Glacier" campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of glaciers, their current challenges, and the need for urgent action to preserve them for future generations.

This campaign seeks to mobilize individuals, communities, scientists, and policymakers to advocate for sustainable environmental practices, the reduction of carbon emissions, and the protection of glacier ecosystems. Through education, advocacy, and action, the campaign will emphasize the interconnection between glaciers, water security, and global climate health.
