Patna, February 18. Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) and Bihar Swasthya Suraksha Samiti (BSSS) jointly organized a One Day Training Programme on the Transaction Management System (TMS) 2.0 for private hospitals of Patna District today. TMS 2.0 is an upgraded website portal assisting a patient’s hospitalization journey under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) health insurance scheme. ADRI provides technical support to BSSS for the roll-out of the scheme in Bihar.
At the outset, Shree Shailesh Chandra Diwakar, AO, BSSS stated that the government is going to take fraud cases seriously by not only plugging in the loopholes on the portal but also by prosecuting fraudsters. The TMS 2.0 portal employs Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect fraud. He also warned erring hospitals against deliberating omitting the phone numbers of the patients or their attendants while registering for treatment. These cases will result in an outright rejection by the authorities, he added.
Dr. Neeraj Kr. Singh, Director-Healthcare of BSSS announced that a Medical Committee has been constituted for monitoring claims strictly. This feature was absent in TMS 1.0. Shree Prakash Chandra Jha, IT Manager at BSSS reported that more than 9 lakh IDs have been created on this all-India TMS 2.0 portal. Dr. Arshad Ayub, Senior Medical Officer at BSSS held out that transparency must be present while processing the claims of the ill beneficiaries. Shree Ritesh Mishra, CB & IEC Manager; Shree Santosh Jha, Director-IT at BSSS along with Dr. Suraj Shankar, Team Lead; Mr. Satyendra Kumar, and other members of the AB-PMJAY wing of the Centre for Health Policy (CHP) at ADRI actively managed the entire training session.
