Patna. September 6. In order to train Drawing and Disbursing officers (DDOs) and related personnel in the newly-established Government Pharmacy and Nursing Training institutes, a one-day training program was organized jointly by the Health Department, Government of Bihar and the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) at the Health and Family Welfare Institute today. This program will run for four days, for four different batches.
In the Inaugural Session, Dr. Kaushal Kishore, Additional Secretary, Department of Health elaborated on the utility of a freshly prepared Financial Management Handbook titled Nikasi Evam Wyayan Padadhikariyoan Hetu Margdarshika 2022. While releasing this handbook, he remarked that the officers could refer to it to solve any problem related to financial matters. This book will greatly facilitate the training of the officers ensuring quality manpower in the state.
While presiding over this session, Dr. Prabhat P. Ghosh, Member-Secretary, ADRI held out that health issues were of paramount importance when it came to the public services. For efficient functioning of the Health Department, it needs to be backed by good financial discipline. Therefore, the handbook, which deals with financial issues, will strengthen such institutions.
Shree Shailesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary, Department of Health said that training imparts the common man with the wherewithal to do any work. But transparency in the system is also imperative for this training. Shree Arvind Jha, Training Coordinator at the Health Department explained that the officers’ problems would be solved right on the spot with the help of this training program.
