Events of EIACP
Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity building and Livelihood Programme at the Centre for Studies on Environment and Climate, Asian Development Research Institute, Patna has organized a plantation drive from 28th to 31st July 2024 under the Campaign of Ek_Ped_Maa_Ke_Nam. The programs were conducted on the occasions of Shiksha Saptah and Nature Conservation Day 2024.
Along with Eco-Club for Mission Life, 175 saplings were planted in the premises of 6 government schools of Patna. These plants were made available with the help of the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Bihar. Approximately, 600-650 students were participated in these events. The students were from D.P.C.S.S. Miller High School, Patna High School Gardanibagh, Rajkiya Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya Adalatganj, Mahanth Hanuman Sharan Sr. Sec. School Kurji, Bankipur Rajkiya Balika High School and Shri Chandra Madhya Vidyalaya, Kurji. The programs aimed to raise awareness about the importance of conserving environment. Students also took pledge of Mission life to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives and spread awareness among their peers, families, and communities.
Patna, 31 July. The tree plantation program under the “#Plant4Mother” campaign started from July 25 by the EIACP Center of Center for Studies on Environment and Climate (CSEC), ADRI, completed today. Along with Eco-Club for Mission Life, 175 saplings were planted in the premises of 6 government schools of Patna. These plants were made available with the help of the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Bihar. The EIACP Center of CSEC-ADRI is a resource partner of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and is engaged in spreading awareness and capacity building in environment and resource management.
The Honorable Prime Minister of India had started the “Plant4Mother” campaign by planting trees on the occasion of World Environment Day. On this occasion, he also called upon the people of the world to plant a tree in love and honor of his mother. Under this campaign, tree plantation was done in Miller High School, Patna High School, Government Girls Middle School Adalatganj, Mahant Hanuman Sharan Higher Secondary School, Bankipur Government Girls High School and Shri Chandra Middle School. Eco-clubs of all schools and students of NCC cadre participated enthusiastically in this campaign. School principals and teachers were also present during the tree plantation.
