Events of CHP
Patna, 06 January. The Centre for Health Policy, Asian Development Research Institute provided technical support and actively participated in One Day Training Program on IDSP (IHIP, NVHCP, NRCP, NPCCHH, Entomology) organized by the State Health Society Bihar at Patna.
The session was declared open with a welcome address by Dr. Ragini Mishra, State Surveillance Officer (SSO), IDSP cell. She provided important insights over IDSP in which she focused and covered the PLS- format, the outbreak investigation and the financial guideline. She highlighted why and how filling up the PLS format is important to help in outbreak investigation, also keeping an eye over the financial guideline helps out in utilizing the limited resources. Dr. Ujjwal Prasad Sinha, Sub-regional Team leader, WHO also presented how Integrated Health Information Portal (IHIP) is secured for the real-time data management. A brief overview has been provided by Dr. Ragini over the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme and its implementation. She further presented a live demo on IHIP implementation. Mr. Alok Kumar Epidemiologist, Jehanabad also talked about and gave the live demo over the IHIP.
This was followed by a talk delivery by Dr. Ragini Mishra SSO, SHSB and Dr. Sanchita Mahapatra, Epidemiologist, CHP, ADRI on the contribution of CHP, ADRI in Strengthening the IDSP for Better Epidemic Preparedness in Bihar. Dr. Ragini also presented and talked about the quality improvement of PLS forms after the contribution of CHP, ADRI in the IDSP. She also presented the training manuals, orientation programs and the progress developed and achieved by the CHP, ADRI in strengthening the IDSP, Bihar.
Further the talk was followed by Mr. Kumar Kaustubh, the State Entomologist on the Zoonotic Diseases. The training program was concluded with the vote of thanks and certificate distribution by Dr. Sanchita Mahapatra, Epidemiologist, CHP ADRI and Dr. Ujjwal, WHO.
