Patna, February 18. The Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (CEECC), ADRI, ENVIS (RP) in collaboration with the Bihar State Pollution Control Board (BSPCB), ENVIS (Hub) has launched a Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) on “Pollution Monitors: Air & Water Pollution.” An inaugural cum orientation function was organised at BSPCB. Professor Ashok Kumar Ghosh, Chairman BSPCB was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The function was graced by the presence of Shri Alok Kumar, Member Secretary, BSPCB and Professor Prabhat P Ghosh, Director, ADRI.
It will be an advance training programme and consists of 260 hours of interdisciplinary sessions, which is equivalent to NSQF level 6. The 24 identified trainees of this programme are from the diverse educational, professional and geographical backgrounds. The 45 days’ training programme will be conducted under the supervision of scientists from BSPCB and other reputed academic institutions like- TERI, IIT Patna, NIT Patna, A N College. The broader objective of this programme is to equip individuals with procedural knowledge about pollution monitoring of air and water pollution.
