Events of EIACP
As a Chief Guest, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Hon’ble Minister of State, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), the Government of India inaugurated Lifestyle for Environment Marathon and Exhibition in Buxar. It was organized by the EIACP resource partner ADRI, under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India. Over 550 participants from Buxar and other neighboring districts registered under the 12km, 7km, and 5km category LiFEathon at Kila Maidan which was flagged off by the Hon’ble Minister. From each category, the winner and runner-up were awarded by the Hon’ble Minster.
Also, the Lifestyle for Environment exhibition was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister. Fifteen exhibitors from Uttarakhand, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and Assam participated in the programme. The day-long programme was a success, with the overall participation of around 1000 people from the town. The Hon’ble minister was very much impressed with the thematic sensitization campaign which ADRI has initiated through both the programmes centered around Mission LiFE for Wetlands. Dr. Sujeet Bajpayee, Joint Secretary, MoEF&CC, Shri S Chandrasekhar, Member Secretary, BSPCB, Shri Surendra Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest, DoEFCC, Mr. Vivek Tejaswi, Deputy Director, ADRI along with other dignitaries from the District Administration were also present in the programme.
