Air Pollution and Climate Change

BACKGROUND

The Centre for Studies on Environment and Climate (CSEC) at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) is looking for Research Interns with skills that include data collection, visualization, analysis, and research, to support various research projects.  The internship will provide an opportunity to be involved in ongoing research at the centre on air pollution, climate change, clean mobility, and solid waste management. The internship is suitable for those with a background in environmental science, chemistry, agriculture, engineering, and other courses with a strong data management and analysis background or related disciplines interested in acquiring practical experience on this topic.

SCOPE OF WORK

The intern's responsibility will be to assist the project head with the given tasks, depending on the applicant's capability and timeline of engagement. The major tasks will be conducting literature reviews and field investigations to generate data on various research fields. Also, assisting in mapping based on a pre-defined framework and summarizing the findings as a report or policy brief.

EXPECTED QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Science/Engineering/other relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of field surveys, data collection, and analysis using basic tools like MS Excel, MS Word, etc.
  • The candidate must fulfil the basic requirements, such as good English writing and oral communication skills and dedication towards work.
