About Organization

The Centre for Studies on Environment and Climate Change (CSEC) at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) is a research think-tank and an EIACP Resource Partner, under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, India. The Centre’s research focuses on Water Resource Management, Air Quality Management, Climate Change and Vulnerability, Public Finance and Governance, and Resource Sustainability.

The Centre is looking for a motivated and skilled Research Associate to provide crucial research support to the evidence-based policy research in areas including, but not limited to climate change, and air pollution.

Desired Qualification

Bachelor’s in Engineering or Master's degree in disciplines like Environment, Public Policy Development, Urban Planning, etc.

Key Responsibility

• Performing quantitative and qualitative research to prepare reports, concept notes, proposals, and synthesizing feedback/ comments into recommendations;
• Conducting field surveys and performing statistical analysis using analytical tools and modeling techniques to support the primary or secondary research;
• Preforming data collection and data mining to the development of scientific databases to support the preliminary research in the field of environment and climate change;
• Preparing essential research-based knowledge outcomes to support the training, awareness, and capacity building of the relevant stakeholders and interest groups;
• Contributing to the overall development of the organization, carrying out tasks assigned by the Centre.  

Preferred Skill

• Prior work experience of at least 1 year, direct involvement in research projects, handling survey data, data analysis, and academic writing in the relevant field;
• Working knowledge of climate change or air quality management, public policy, and programme monitoring & evaluation in the relevant field;
• Working proficiency in geostatistical tools and modelling software like Python, R, ArcGIS, etc. would be an advantage;
• Demonstrative writing skills like – reports, research articles, project proposals, blogs, etc., and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities are preferable.

Remuneration:

Based on qualifications/experience salary between Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 per month will be offered to the deserving candidate.
