Wetland and Climate Change Research
Background
The Centre for Studies on Environment and Climate (CSEC) at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) is looking ‘Research Intern(s)’ to be involved in policy research and advocacy on wetlands management. An opportunity to work on interdisciplinary conservation projects and outreach activities makes this a learning internship for a student or recent graduate to explore a variety of career options or refine their interests in the environment and climate change field.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with a broad range of research in wetlands and climate change including literature survey, field survey, database creation, etc.
- Engaging in environmental outreach activities include creating interpretive material on Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), and communicating among relevant communities, school children, and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree student or final year of M.Sc. in a relevant field such as Environmental Science/Environment Management, Water Resources Management, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Forestry, Agriculture, and other relevant courses
- Must have strong research skills like literature review, data management, data collection, stakeholder engagement. Familiarity with relevant software like SPSS, Tableau, ArcGIS, will be an advantage.
Stipend
Selected candidates will be provided a stipend as per their qualifications and upon the development of quality outcomes as expected from this internship.
