Brief of the Organization:
The Centre for Health Policy (CHP) at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) in Patna has been set up with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to strengthen the health sector in Bihar with a multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary approach. Its aim is to engage in rigorous analysis of the health system and inform policy makers to fine tune interventions for even stronger outcomes. Aligned with the larger goal of ADRI, the Center is also working on impact focused knowledge management via institutionalizing, showcasing, and facilitating quality and sustainable evidence-based learning through research and action across diverse sectors – Health, Education, Livelihood, Climate Sustainability, Gender Equality, Finance and allied; along with intersectoral linkages for multiple partners and varied stakeholders.

Eligibility:
Required
- Completion of the Master’s Coursework in Public Health/Health Care Management/ Hospital Administration/Biological Science or equivalent
- Good knowledge in Research Methodology, Infectious Diseases, Non-communicable Diseases, their risk factors, Health System and Services of India – its structure and functions
- Good oral and writing communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel
- Exposure to Qualitative and Quantitative data analytics and relevant software (SAS/STATA/R and ATLAS-ti)
Desired
- Capacity of content writing, data analysis, preparation of research study tools and quality checks thereof
- Knowledge in health statistics and statistical methods
- Knowledge of Epidemiology and health Systems
Responsibilities:
- Continuous synchronized communication and co-ordination of field activities
- Providing training to key government functionaries and filed investigators
- Development of all communication materials, compilation of data on daily basis, database configuration checks and management.
- Data quality check, quality control and documentation of the data quality control and assurance process
- Data Cleaning: Managing loss of information, data mapping, removing duplicate entries, coding of open-ended responses, merging of data sets etc.
- Preparing data analysis plan / tabulation plan.
- Understand and perform data (both qualitative and quantitative) analysis (from data cleaning to preparation of tables) using all available data sources for knowledge generation that will guide the program implementation.
- Collating and analyzing secondary data from required sources.
- Participation in preparation of appropriate dissemination including scientific manuscripts and other documents for sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Capacity building of program team and Government counterparts on understanding of data and data driven management.
- To perform other ad-hoc tasks as per the need of different stakeholders such as the Government and the donor.
- Travel within or beyond the program areas for 10-30% of the time as per the requirement of the project
Remuneration:
Commensurate with knowledge and experience. Maximum Rs. 50,000 per month will be offered for the deserving candidate.
