Brief of the Organization:

The Centre for Health Policy (CHP) at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) in Patna has been set up with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to strengthen the health sector in Bihar with a multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary approach. Its aim is to engage in rigorous analysis of the health system and inform policy makers to fine tune interventions for even stronger outcomes in Bihar

Position: Research Associate

Number of position: One

Eligibility:

Required

  • PhD in Public Health/Social Science or related field
  • Good oral and writing communication skill
  • Experience in working on Government Health Policy/Programs
  • Basic statistical knowledge, quantitative and qualitative data analysis skill

Desired

  • Proficiency in Advanced Qualitative & Quantitative data analysis
  • Experience in Implementation Research
  • Experience/ expertise in content writing
  • Experience of working in Government Health Sector

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting literature review and developing evidence table
  • Secondary data analyses
  • Development of the Questionnaires, Guidelines, Protocol, SOP, Training Manual, Analytical framework, other IEC materials
  • Data triangulation, advanced analyses of the data
  • Supervisory and implementational field visits as required including providing training to key Government officials and field investigators
  • Writing policy briefs and manuscript
  • At least 25% of the time to be spend in the field (within Bihar) and other related activities as per the requirement of the project

Remuneration:

Commensurate with knowledge, experience and quality of publications. Maximum Rs. 75,000 per month will be offered for the deserving candidate
