Brief: The study “State Effectiveness, Bureaucratic Management Practices, and Citizen-State Interaction in India” is a collaboration between the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The purpose of this study is to better understand management practices, motivation, and performance of bureaucrats tasked with policy implementation.
Position: Enumerator
Duration: July 2024 to December 2024
Number of positions: Fourteen
Place: Bihar
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person surveys with bureaucrats at different levels throughout Bihar
- Regularly report back to the survey lead in Patna
- Independent travelling to remote places over an extended period
Required:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a related field
- Previous experience of conducting surveys within larger survey teams
- Experience in working with SurveyCTO
- Good understanding of governance/bureaucracy, especially in Bihar
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Hindi
Desirable:
- Previous experience of surveying bureaucrats
- Good working knowledge of English
Remuneration:
