Political Parties and Professional Organisations

The Centre prepared the Joint Memorandum of the political parties and professional organisations in Bihar, which was placed before the Thirteenth Finance Commission. These Parties include JD (U), BJP, RJD, Congress, LJP, CPI, CPI (M), BSP, Samajwadi Party and NCP. Among the professional organizations are included Bihar Industries Association, Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Confederation of Indian Industries and ADRI. The Memorandum describes Bihar’s backwardness and then raises pertinent issues like weak economy, inequitable vertical and horizontal transfers, less equalizing grants, debt relief and uneven subsidies for the consideration by the Commission.
