Environmental debate to Commemorate Bihar Diwas

Patna, March 24. Netarhat Old Boys Association (NOBA) jointly with Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (CEECC) at ADRI organized State level Debate Competition to commonerate Bihar Diwas. Students from across Bihar participated in this one day event where the students were asked to deliberate on Environment and Development. Honorable Deputy CM of Bihar Shri Sushil Kumar Modi graced the occasion and distributed prizes to the winners. He asked the participants that a social movement is required for social work for which Bihar can lead. He also stated that we need to decide what is the cost of development with respect to environment. Dr. Shaibal Gupta who gave the key note address stated that the world is heading for fourth Industrial Revolution vide artificial Intelligence, but can artificial intelligence save the environment. He also stated that public schools should strengthen in order to achieve development holistically. Shri Rameshwar Singh, president of NOBA and PCCF, Dr. D K Shukla were present in the meeting. Among schools Rajkiya Kanya Uchch Vidyalaya, Shastri Nagar secured first position, Student Scientific High School secured second position and Mahant Hanumaan Sharan High School secured third position respectively.
