Successful Water Management Practices around the World (video)


This video (published by PEDRR) depicts Eco-DRR approach adopted by the population of Bamyan, Afghanistan as a part of Community Resilience in response to severe winter floods. It shows how the catchment based Eco-DRR strategy and disaster-sensitive landuse planning provided livelihood benefits as well as established natural protective buffer against disaster in that area.

This video (published by Down To Earth) shows climate-smart farming system adopted in Bongheri, a village in Sundarban, West Bengal. The 2009 cyclone Aila nearly destroyed the village but after the intervention of NICRA project, farmer's income has increased manifold.
